Gaya Belajar Mahasiswa Farmasi dalam Pembelajaran Fisika Berdasarkan Indeks Learning Style Felder Silverman

Abstrak

Gaya belajar menjadi komponen vital dalam peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dalam kelas fisika. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi gaya belajar mahasiswa farmasi dalam pembelajaran fisika berdasarkan Indeks Learning Style (ILS) Felder Silverman melalui survey pada mahasiswa tahun pertama. ILS Felder Silverman memetahkan preferensi 4 dimensi gaya belajar yakni pemprosesan (active-reflective), persepsi (sensing-intuitive), input (visual-verbal), dan pemahaman (sequential-global). Kuesioner disebar menggunakan Google Formulir dalam waktu lebih dari tiga pekan. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif melalui ILS scoring sheett. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan preferensi gaya belajar Active, Sensing, Visual, dan Sequential (ASViS) dimiliki oleh mahasiswa farmasi dalam pembelajaran fisika. ASViS tersebut dominan pada level seimbang, secara berturut-turut: Active (39, 27%), Sensing (31,94%), Visual (35,08%) dan Sequential (44,50). Implikasi penelitian ini menjadi gambaran akan pembelajaran dosen di dalam kelas fisika yang hendaknya menerapkan metode bervariasi dengan melibatkan mahasiswa secara aktif melalui ekperimen, pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan diskusi serta sekali-kali melakukan refleksi, dalam menjelaskan materi.  Juga menerapkan pembelajaran bersifat konvergen dan divergen.
